Premium Quality. Kansas Made. Kinfolk Created.

Kinfolk was born with a proud creative lineage. Cousins Bryan and Toby spent years in their father’s design firms learning at an early age the importance of hard work and collaboration. That history inspired them to pursue a career in visual communication. Their Midwest work ethic and personal attention to every relationship is a family tradition. And in this family, design runs deep.

Our brand offers premium quality Kansas apparel and small goods rooted in local history. Our designs tell a story about growing up with grass stains on gravel roads in the Kansas side of Kansas City. We represent a generation without cable TV, mobile phones, or the internet. In fact, we played outside from dawn-to-dusk and sometimes later, depending on just how far from home we actually “explored.”

So roll-up those sleeves and wear Kansas for all to see. Tell the stories and share your passion for this place. Be a champion for our State and remind others to #LoveWhereTheyLive!

Bryan Lisbona

Bryan is a graphic designer born and raised in rural Kansas. His award-winning studio, Kinfolk Creative represents businesses and brands large and small from coast to no coast throughout the USA. His work ranges from traditional 2D and 3D design to more unconventional environmental projects of human scale. And in 2017 he started Kinfolk Created, a Midwest apparel line featuring tees, hats, stickers, and a range of unique small goods all rooted in Kansas history. Bryan credits his inspiration and endless determination to his family, their free range parenting, and thick creative lineage.

Bryan devotes both personal and professional time to numerous passion projects supporting initiatives he believes in. Professionally, he has supported organizations such as the Kansas Sampler Foundation, Burundi Friends International, The LIKEME® Lighthouse, The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, ArtsKC, Kiwanis International, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, The Kansas City VA Medical Center, Saint Luke’s Midwest Ear Institute and Montana On A Mission. Personally, and more importantly, Bryan mentors in local public school systems, organizes give-back programs, and speaks to students and classrooms about design pathways and growing up in rural Kansas.

Bryan has been recognized numerous times for his work through juried competition. He has received national exposure on the pages of PRINT Magazine and Graphis as well as regional awards by AIGA Kansas City, Printing Industries of America (PIA) and the Kansas City Ad Club.
